QMHP-A processed Ms. Broadnax feelings and emotions with improving her overall daily functioning and stabilize her mental and medical health management. QMHP-A praised Ms. Broadnax for her improvement of being able to communicate with QMHP-A about her thoughts and feelings and any learned coping skills as she continues to learn to assertively express her unmet emotional needs and stressors. QMHP-A reiterated the importance of Ms. Broadnax being able to recognize and identify stressors that cause her inability to stabilize her mental and medical health management on a daily basis. QMHP-A assisted Ms. Broadnax through role playing and modeling ways to communicate effective to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety with reaching a level of reduced tension to increase and improve communication with family and friends for improvement in overall daily functioning. QMHP-A assisted Ms. Broadnax with learning to recognize and verbalize hurt and angry feelings in open, respectful constructive ways through her journaling and expressing feelings verbally. QMHP-A assisted Ms. Broadnax in becoming able to recognize needs and feels and to express them in a healthy way. Ms. Broadnax appeared to be receptive to QMHP-A’s interventions and services that were provided to her during the session. Ms. Broadnax discussed with QMHP-A she feels as though she is experiencing a great deal of depression and anxiety due to her not being able to communicate how she feels when it comes to certain people. She further expressed to QMHP-A she feels as though she contributes to her stressors because she does not know how to control her anger and depression. She indicated she continues to adhere to her medication on a consistent basis and it works for her; however, she is still human. Through role playing and modeling, Ms. Broadnax was able to provide QMHP-A with ways to address her anger and depressive symptoms and indicated, “I am going to work on controlling and learning how to talk to people in a low tone as opposed to getting loud at them all the time”.
